Welcome to Exmoor House
Exmoor House is a stunning Georgian style house set in its own grounds within the Exmoor National Park. The historical village of Porlock is only a short walk away and is at the gateway to the South West Coast Path, Two Moors Way and Coleridge Way.
The views of the surrounding countryside are outstanding and can be viewed from all the rooms. A feeling of peace and tranquillity envelops the house. It is a truly restful place to be.
In the colder months, you will find a warming log fire to welcome you. In the warmer months, there are plenty of sitting areas in the garden for you to read or just relax or even enjoy the special sunsets and starlit surrounding with unspoilt skies.

Exmoor House has been carefully transformed over a period of three years to provide the sort of retreat we ourselves would like to find when we take time out of our busy lives. Ian’s engineering skills have been fully exploited to repair and renew all the bathrooms and en-suites, to make them fresh and inviting. Rooms homely but spacious.
Having trained in the hospitality industry, Ann brings her catering knowledge and love of food to the dining room by using as much locally produced food and drink as possible and in the Exmoor and wider Somerset area, we are spoilt for choice. |

New for this year is our Green Tourism Silver Award. We are trying to do our bit to keep Exmoor and of course the earth more environmentally friendly without compromising the quality of your stay with us. To read more about what we have done to make ourselves greener and to add any more suggestions please look at the News/Events page.
Both keen walkers, Ian and Ann will be happy to pass on any tips for walks or tea shops in the beautiful surroundings of Exmoor, or further afield in places like historical Dunster, Selworthy, Watchet, Lynton, Lynmouth and National Trust Estates, including Holnicote.
Ian was a competitive cyclist back in West London and local horseman, so any hints for riding of either kind and he would be only too happy to help with routes, or to suggest local stables and bike hire. |
