Venue HireWORKSHOPS / AWAY DAYSThere are times when the constraints of the office or workplace need to give way to the more creative and relaxing atmosphere of a comfortable country house, with inspirational views of the National Park and privacy. No ringing phones, roving executives coming and going, mountains of URGENT e-mails and other office distractions. At Exmoor House we have extended the use of this elegant house and grounds to offer a comfortable and intimate venue for workshops and corporate meetings for up to 20 delegates. The main room is offered in conjunction with the flexibility of “break out areas” for smaller groups or brainstorming. All working rooms are on the ground floor and incorporate Disabled facilities and access. The level grounds are perfect for marquees or sheltered gazebo’s if an outdoor area is a more suitable setting for a larger gathering in finer weather. Areas for croquet and other games can be set up for “down time” and relaxation. Barbeques and al fresco groups are also an informal way of socialising, team building or thinking “outside the box” and blowing away a few cobwebs. We are only 300m from the lovely village of Porlock for a stroll to the local taverns when business is completed or we can cater to your needs in-house with everything from light buffet lunches to full dinner in the evening. We can also offer entertaining and informative distractions such as a Safari chasing around Exmoor looking at the special landscape and animals Somerset and Devon have to offer in the National Park. A Falconry Experience or a ride on the Award Winning West Somerset Steam Railway for those hidden “fat controllers” amongst you, or advice on walks or rides to clear the head?
